There is a way to link your SkyDrive songs to the MP3 Player gadget here. First, click on the desired song at SkyDrive to get this page:

http://cid-bae5237a26f4913c.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/razmataz.MP3

Then, right-click on the large note icon and select "Copy Link Location" (Firefox) or "Copy Shortcut" (Internet Explorer) to get the download link. It looks something like this:

http://slshsa.bay.livefilestore.com/y1pAZOmY2WLXMB6I11ias5oIbUsEDjdbFSJITYeAQfpB7jcecN1s0zqUTgrHqCII4IHTfcNg9LHFajD5b3OkgoWcg/razmataz.MP3?download

Now click the (Stream a single MP3) button in the message editor to insert a [singlemp3][/singlemp3] tag pair into your message. Paste the MP3 download URL between the [singlemp3][/singlemp3] tags. It should look like this:

[singlemp3]http://slshsa.bay.livefilestore.com/y1pAZOmY2WLXMB6I11ias5oIbUsEDjdbFSJITYeAQfpB7jcecN1s0zqUTgrHqCII4IHTfcNg9LHFajD5b3OkgoWcg/razmataz.MP3?download[/singlemp3]

When you preview or post your message, the player will be displayed  and it should play your song from SkyDrive.

The only trouble is, SkyDrive seems to change the download URL periodically. So the MP3 player will probably stop working after a few days or weeks and you'll have to change the URL to fix it.
