Hey Folks,

I stated on another thread for the 1200 that I'm experimenting with mic placements.  This song is far from perfect and my first attempt (I have a bit of time into it).....all I desire is a clear full acoustic sound and I think that this is lacking that full sound...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  The vocals are a bit rough and need to be redone

I'll post an instrumental in a bit so you can hear the difference and have an accurate representation of what I'm trying to explain and hope to fix/make better.

Thanks,

Rob

Oops, I dont see the player or my mp3, I'll try to fix it...

That's because you didn't attach an MP3 file. You attached a WMA file. The MP3 player gadget only works with MP3 files.

SFN - If 'When I Close My eyes' is the song to which you refer, then there's absolutely no reason to be reluctant to post. It's a glorious song, well as far as the crappy in-built speakers of this Laptop will allow me to ascertain. On proper speakers (unfortunately elsewhere at the moment), it is possibly nigh-on perfect. I hope the situation with the MP3 uploads is resolved soon to everyone's satisfaction, because it would be a shame if this song (and many others on this Forum) were to be lost in some way. Well done, SFN, there's a mass of talent bubbling through there.

Rob, welcome from Nome, Alaska!  Just listened to your songs - very, very nice and mellow!  I can't help you with the br1200, but i do know what you're talking about with the acoustic.  I will be buying a different microphone to use w/ my br900 --- if I plug my guitars directly into the br unit I'm getting to much of a metallic sound, and would like to get more of an acoustic sound.  I do think your songs sounded good, though!

Don't be reluctant, your stuff sounds great. I listened to "When I Close My Eyes" and it's a lovely gentle song with some nice chord changes and subtle guitar work.

Cheers,

Damn Rob, you should never be reluctant to post a song. These are fantastic.
