This is the first time Ive posted anything I have done, It is a cover of the boys are back in town.

The drums are from a backing track but I did the guitars using an Ibanez grg07.  I know the twin solos are too loud but its my first go.
Havnt got the guts to post my singing yet so if anyone wants to put vocals on it feel free....

Can anyone tell me why this is playing at twice the speed it should?????

If you click on the link its ok but the mp3 button speeds it up.

gawd i feel old after that, i think you can hear the bones in my vocal chords cracking and straining as i try to stay in tune.
saw thin lizzy at the glasgow apollo circa 76 77 they where blinding, and where supported by a wee tiny guy called johnny cougar, his band was great too.for what its worth heres my attempt, i think i sound a bit thin and squeaky but is about the best i can do sober.

Very nice cover Ian!

The guitars are loud but not too loud, they are just fine. In fact, everything sounds good.

Jim, you rocked, your vocals were very good! I didn't noticed you were straining at all.

I really like this song and as I'm currently listening to this band this was a very nice surprise.

Thanks a lot Ian and Jim.  ;D

FYI: Johnny Cougar became John Mellencamp. The Cougar idea was a scheme by his manager and his label. He hated it. He did one LP as Johnny Cougar and had a hit with "I need a Lover" which the label pared down to a few seconds of his original song and added about 2:55 of production. Had a bunch of hits in the US as John Mellencamp. Got to see him perform on a roof once. Always delighted to see a rock star short enough that I could beat in basketball.
