Well, here is an arrangement to a tune I have not played for quite some time, and thought to get my classical warmed up - one thing led to another.

Zambra => a spanish gipsy dance.

Hope you enjoy it --- ended up compressing it quite a bit.  Maybe to much.

This is an absolutely stunning piece of music!!!!

The rhythm is relentless and makes you want to get up an dance!

The Guitar has an amazing sound to it! Is that a nylon or steal string....? It has the Nylon sound with the jangle of a steal string! And the rhythm provided by the Guitar just takes you away to another place!

Utterly superb!!!!

Thanks T!  It is my Takamine Classical = nylon.  Keep struggling with music right now, and had to get something started so thought to do this piece since it is part of my song list while performing live - guitar and my whistling.  Just seem to be in a blue rut right now, which happens from time to time and can't concentrate on tunes.

I get stuck in a rut cause I got to many tunes going in my head, then can't get any of them done.  This is really great!!  Are you whislting also?  It really fits.  And yes it makes one want to get up and dance. Great job! Did you do this all from scratch?  Are you playing the drums? and what are they.  sounds great!! Would be nice with some vocals also.

Thanks PJ!  From scratch = just like the spanish omelet just got done eating for breabfast...  Yeah, me on the whistling...  If you ever spend any time with me at all you'll notice that I am constantly whistling - if not I am tapping, or making some noice --- I started doing this with my songs and arrangements to add melody or singing - especialy songs that Gabby (daughter) wanted me to learn, that way when we got together to do music I could follow her voice.  Although I do listen to verses/lyrics I am more interested in the sound/melody as part of the instrumentation of a song.  the drums are my set of Congas - i have edited the song a bit and hoping on adding the bass run to it!  The whistliing melody - the first time is guitar, then saxophone, then bridge is an incredible lead w/ spanish guitar, and then back to melody with guitar = that is how the original song goes.

Oh, and I misspelled Kenny V - should be Vehkavaara...

Just got to agree with everything that's been said  8)
And you're doing something I've never ever been able to do--------Whistle!!!! (and, of course, play like that)
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!

Hey Jim - pretty hard to play the guitar whistle, play the congas, and scratch my head all @ once...  1st guitar, 2nd whistle 1, 3rd whistle 2, 4 congas --- was going to add bass and another guitar but got lazy...

Thanks!

Oldrottenhead

phew i'm glad to hear that it wasnt done in a oney, i was beginning to think you either had magical powers or was an octopus.

i originally thought when you said you did it in your setlist, that you where playing guitar and tapping guitar body for rhythm and whistling through some mad digital delay effect
