I thought a musical story might be fun.  So I dug through tapes and photos and came up with some of this.  It all started when we entered a music contest down in South east Nebraska.  The Omaha World Harold showed up and took this pic of me and my dog and put it in the paper.

Then they had a Nation Wide Country show down.  We entered in the regional one and we won. This would be us and our trophy. Obviously you know which one is me!!

So on we went to the state fair in South Dakota to be in the district competition.  Rex Allen JR. was hosting.  As we pulled into the fair grounds the sax player (driving) says where should we park?   The band leader says "Right beside Rex"  so we did.

And of course the lead guitar players wife and myself just had to have our picture taken with Rex.  We also got a tour of his bus. Pretty neat!!

Of course then we had our turn at the competition.  And of course we lost. LOL But a great time was had and we were proud we made it that far.

So we went back home happy to have been there.  But it helped our careers so to speak as we went and played in Custer S.D.

It was probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do when I left them and moved to Michigan.  But I do have lots of tapes and memories.  Now to the song. LOL Remember this is off of an old cassette so not very good quality but you get the idea.
thanks for letting me stroll down memory lane.

Will write a bit while waiting for the song to download. I hate dial-up. I love the photo of Larry's old bus next to Rex's. That is great. You should send a copy to Rex. I don't know where Karen is at now. And haven't seen Wayne in years. Larry is trouble over a tire recycling scheme he and his brother pulled here in Rock Co. And I can't remember the drummer's name. But haven't seen him in years. Forgot about the sax player also. Boy that has been a while back. Song brings back a lot of good memories. When Wayne and Bear were with us were great times. Do you have any tapes with Bear singing Sugar Daddy? Wow!!! Gonna have to listen to more of my old tapes and see what I can find. Later...tazzy

Are you sure you're from Nebraska, not Kansas?

I swear, if you tell me that dog's name was todo, I'm going to shit myself.

I'll give the song a listen in the morning, when I'm not working on this sexy backer you made PJ.

Hey Diego, Those hot springs are so fun.. totally relaxing.  But took the scariest ride of my life down that big slide.  I got up there and couldn't go down. I got a foot in the back and down I went. They could have heard me in England. LOL
