I've recorded 2 acoustic tracks on trk 1 and 2 with bass on 3,
I would simply like to put  trk2 and trk 3 onto 4 to open up 2tracks
any suggestions welcome
Thank you

You can do this easily - just enter Bounce mode, mix the levels as you want them, and record to track 4. However, since your bouncing to a single track, it will be mono (make sure all your panning is centered).

If you want to bounce in stereo, bounce to a couple of empty virtual tracks. You can use up to 32 virtual tracks with the MBR - that allows for a lot of bouncing options!

Remember when bouncing that it combines all tracks that you hear. So if you don't want the bass included on the bounce, use an empty V track with that channel.
I often bounce just one channel to a new V track just to add an effect to that one alone.
Then once each track sounds right, I bounce a number of them to combine.
