Monitor speakers??

Hi All,

At the moment I connect my BR 600 to my PC via my Soundblaster card which is connected to a creative 4.1 speaker system.

I am thinking of getting a good pair of monitor speakers for both the BR and my amp modellers... I've looked at the Behringer Truth speakers... B1030.

Just wondered what people would recommend.  I'm in the UK and looking to spend less than £200 GBP.  Any recommendations?

Cheers

Laurence.

I think my Edirol speakers cost just over £100.

If you can stretch the budget a little bit more I would recommend the Roland DS5 - although be quick if you are interested as I believe they are about to be discontinued.

I bought a pair recently but they were about £300 new.  Various branches of PMT had ex demonstration ones at significantly lower prices.  The other ones I tried out in the store were various KRK models all of which sounded good in the store.  I bought the Roland mainly because of the digital input option.  I think the edirol versions also have the digital input if you need it.

I think the problem is that you can't really tell how a set of speakers will sound at home from the way they sound in the shop.   Take a CD that you know well with you when you go to the store for a demo.

I'm more than happy with my Behringer Ms 40's they are perfect for my needs and I haven't used an amp in ages
I love the 2 channels...one for PC and one for BR/Guitar/ Synth
they are only around £100 and are excellent and plenty loud enough!
