I guess he is hanging out with Lobster Boy and Gringo as the new post-modern holy trinity.  How's the weather up there stof?  Just ask Nigel, he has it all figured out.

Tins, sounding real good!  Couple thoughts on using your MBR.  If starting with an idea, I usually record a rough rhythm track with drums off.  Then find a suitable metro BPM for it.  I then re-record the rhythm to the beat and build up other parts from there.  Once the song is done, then I take some notes on break measure locations and start the arrangement building process.

Usually you start with a preset arrangement and copy it to a song for editing but building one from start to finish is sometimes easier then trying to push pre-exhisting patterns around in an arrangement.  When you insert a pattern for example, all the following ones get pushed away and require editing all their measure locations.  (or maybe I'm just doing it wrong?)

Anyway,  outside of recording a preset arrangement and then cut and pasting it over and over to get a longer song, it can be a tedious editing process at best.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

That is a great first attempt with the BR. You know your way around a fretboard, and have made a great job of production for an initial try.
That is great advise from Hardlock about the initial part to get going with a song. There are helpers all over the site who will put you in the right direction.
