I agree with launched ,I missed this too! OMG it gave me shivers. And history is unreal.  You hear all sides. What did they really feel. This was superb. I love the flute. The whole thing could make me cry.

Thanks for listening Mark....glad you enjoyed it. I'm working on more of these for my new album which will be historical soundscapes of the Genesee River Valley, which i have called home for the last 37 years.

Wiley...If this song gave you shivers and thoughts of a tear, it spoke to you. It does not speak to all. I have heard it many times and it still evokes alot of emotion in me as well. This song, to a large extent, wrote itself. I just played it and recorded it. It was kinda spooky.

Reality isn't always pretty, but is is the artist that makes something pretty in response to that uglyness, its the only way to go on in the face of all the ugliness all around us.  There is a real sweet charm to this, I really like the way this turned out.

Missed this one PD. It's a really lovely atmospheric piece and I love the way you have painted a sound picture for your inspiration. Don't hear the bum notes myself and I really enjoyed this. Very different, well done.

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks for taking the time to listen Dave, Alex, and Nigel.

You're right Dave, reality isn't always pretty by any means...and i wanted this to end with a glimmer of hope. I always here hope in a bird's song.

Glad it moved ya Alex..it is an emotional piece..and many would say depressing..but then the story of our European conquest of our Native American people is not a happy one.

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts Nigel. It isn't so much "bum notes" as it is timing issues. I should have redone it but i am terrible at "going back". The emotions that generate my compositions are usually pretty fleeting. Glad you liked it.
