Hey Guys...Summer is history and Fall is in the air. "Recording Season" for me is like November until mid-April. I usually play alot over the summer and write...so that i HAVE something to record when Winter arrives...but this year i was just too busy. There was a "jazz challenge" a couple weeks ago at a friends Soundclick site (Jude Law at the "Coconut Blues Club") that i decided to take a shot at..for better or worse...to try and see if i could remember how to operate my BR1200 and play my Tele at the same time. This is my first outing in 5 months. I plan to redo a couple lead tracks to make it a bit more interesting as soon as time allows.
I was talking to my younger brother on the phone a month ago and it went like this:
Bill: "So, ya been doin' any recording?"
Me: "Not Really"
Bill: "You been writing or playing much?"
Me: "Not Really"
Bill: "Have you been having ANY fun AT ALL?"
Me: "Not Really"

We both laughed but i got thinking about it and it was true...and Life is way too short to skip on the Fun stuff eh?...thus a song was born.

Nice one, I don't know why but I had a feeling you were going to post something soon, I kept looking at the 1200 spot and today is the day.  Sweeeeeet Tele playing P-dog, I love your smooth style, and this is after not playing all summer?  You don't even have guitar callusus anymore!!!  Nice to have you back making music P-dog, I really like your style.

Definitely like riding a bike for you!! Didn't even skip a beat. I agree with Dave, the Tele sounds great.

Love your music, and it's great to see you back in music making mode!

This was a long time coming Pinedog! I've been keeping an eye on the 1200 section just to see when I got my next pinedog fix. You did not disappoint.

Your right! They are all but completely gone...which is why i reached for my Tele and not my acoustic  :D

Thanks for giving a listen mark...actually i think i did skip a beat...more than one...which is why i wanna tweak it a bit. It was assembled really quick and then i kept hearing new possibilities afterwards. You know how that goes..you walk around for a couple days with your head in music world. Felt good to be in the studio again though.

Hi Tony...you're right..a long time coming indeed. I was pleasantly suprised at not having to open the manual for the 1200. My recall is...um...what was i saying?
Thanks for listening!

PDG - Perry Como used to joke that his seemingly casual style took a lot of hard work.  I'm therefore sure a similar statement can be made of your own singular tecnique. No doubt some years and thousands of hours of playing are behind this, yet another intoxicating blend of Pinedog styles and colours: country, blues and up-tempo jazz all effortlessly seasoned into a foot-tapping and ear-tickling whole. You've done it AGAIN!!

Thanks T...but there's plenty of rust, believe me. I may be well oiled often but my drinking habits are not -hOt (that was an attempt at a  literary hiccup) the issue here  ;D

Thanks Steve...Perry Como? WoW...haven't heard that name in a while. My mom used to love him. He was definitely Mr Smooth alright. Nice tone too..  But now you are saying i'm intoxicated just like T did! I resemble that remark!.... Pinedog turns to ORH nodding thanks for a refill on the brandy glass..... ;)
As for the many years of playing and practicing...that's a fact. I have no musical gift. It was all work. I have met kids in their teens that can play circles around me.
I loved music alot more than music ever loved me.

the kids may circles around you now. But they couldn't then. YOU are truely great.  And kids don't have the expressions or the feel, emotions that you do.  I know there are some exceptions to the rule.  Ojimmie. for one. Is to cool.  You are a man of many talents.
