Sounds great, and even better with the bass there, though I agree it was mixed a tad low. Nice take on a classic!

Okay.... I owe it to Farmjazz to fix the mix.
So, here it is with more bass.

I dunno... this song still makes me want to put the top down and cruise!  And I love the middle part where it goes to the shuffle beat... (does that on the Shadows version too) and in 1960 that was a real precurser to the Mercy Beat sound.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Farmjazz... Mind if I get in on this one???... I'd like to throw an acoustic drum track in on this one... Can you send me a version without the drum track??? Thought this would be a good one to dial in my sound.

How do you want it? With metronome? Can you download from this site? I can't. I think I found out why; the postings on this site don't support 'resume' if the download is interrupted. My slow dialup gets a hiccup at some point and, that's it pal, download over.

Let me know.

Oops, sorry Tod, it ain't gonna happen. I went back to pull up Apache and realized I erased it as a multi-track file after I mastered it and saved it as a MP3. All I've got is what's posted here. I originally did it on the 128MB card that came with the unit and had another project on it that needed more work, so I deleted Apache for more room (not thinking I would ever need it again).

I am, however going to be working up some more surf tunes for my young guys to work with. I'm thinking surf music is the newest wave of the future - thank you Johnny A, et al. The new cool - again!

I'll be more mindful of keeping everything in the multi-track version in the future, even if I master/save as MP3 for posting, etc.

This will be my first attempt at downloading from here and uploading into the BR. If you let me know what BPM you were at then I can just turn the rhythm pattern on as a metronome and lay an acoustic track down... or I could just try to play along with the track you've got posted and then post the drum track separately so you can add it to what you've already got saved. Either way let me know. I'll try to mess around with it this week sometime. Pretty busy lately.

The tempo is 120, but the MICRO BR won't see anything but a Mp3 file, I think. I doubt any specific settings for the song will show up. I do have the Wav converter and bigger SD cards on hand, but I just didn't do it in the heat of the moment. I made my own track sheets and have all the data there, so I could re-create the whole thing if I had the time - but I don't.

Lay down your drum track and then add it to what's already there. It'll give it that Allman Bros. two drummers vibe!
