Haven't posted anything in a while, so here's something I've been fooling around with.

Recorded with an SM58 in front of my Fender Bandmaster. (I think I recorded it a little "hot" as there is some static in the background - even though the peak lights never came on  ???)

Guitar = Japanese Fender Strat
Guitar Effects = BBE Green Screamer
Bass = Fender Jazz straight into BR600
Vocals = SM 58 straight into BR600, vocal effect P01

Hope you guys enjoy it.

Yes- I love it. Some tasty stuff, Vann. The mic noise is so low, you can't even hear it except for the first couple seconds. Totally kick ass guitar and vocal parts. I got into it!

The mic problem is an impedence mismatch, because the BR's are designed to accept high-impedence connections, and I'm sure the SM58 you are using will need this adapter:

Audio Technica CP8201

It lowers hum and noise, and increases overall frequency response.

Your vocals are excellent - I might need a lesson from you one of these days...

Sweeeeeeeeet!!!

Absolutly super song here Vann.  That strat sounds perfect, great recording here, it is so nice to hear a real amp being recorded.  Fender Bandmaster hu, re-issue type or original?, sounds wonderfull.  I like everything about this song, great lyrics and vocals, sweet guitar playing, solid bass.  Clean recording (I don't hear the static).  Very pro sounding Blues rock song here.  I love it.

QuoteFender Bandmaster hu, re-issue type or original?

Thanks BB. I'm really glad you liked this song.

The Bandmaster is an original I think it is somewhere between '67 and '69. I bought it with my corn detassaling money "back in the day". I still remember my mom picking it up in her Chevy Citation.

I run the head thru a Crate 4x12 cab.

I blew the speakers in the original Fender cab many moons ago, then I sold it in a yard sale for $10.00 (WTF was I thinking????? :'().

Great song, Vann! I see you got a Fender Jazz bass instead of the Squire P-Bass you mentioned in another topic. Cool! Is this the first song you've used it on?

Nice job, Vanncad! There's lots of drive here. And don't mind the hum at the beginning...I think it adds to the ambience.

It reminds me a bit of Brownsville Station in places - and I like it!   8)

Thanks for listening and for the replies guys!

64 - The Jazz is on loan from a buddy. I also used it on What Am I Gonna Do. It needs strings pretty bad. I had to get my computer, car and house fixed in the last few weeks, so my P-Bass purchase is put on hold for a while.
