When I got up this morning

Today I woke up and thought my house was on fire because it looked like this outside:

I freaked out for a bit then went down to the beach. Couldn't find my proper camera so only took pics on my phone which I might load when I get to the pub at lunch time.

Anyway, I thought the world was ending and it reminded me that it was HG Wells' bithday the other day which then reminded me that Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds is my choice for the greatest double album ever.

It was just madness this morning. Overnight a wind storm blew in from the southwest. Lots of the outback here is red dirt which was picked up by the storm. The whole of Sydney now has a covering of red dust.

I think I am going to need a beer at lunch time (20 minutes) to was the dust out of my throat.

Ive been through a few dust storms and white outs myself.

That's freaky deaky! Martian red weed for sure, lol.

I'm a major HG Wells fan. I went to the same school as him, and he's turned up in all sorts of strange places and coincidences in my life since then.

Agree that the Jeff Wayne album is awesome! Great pic...!
