Well that's a HUGE compliment because Lou Barlow (Sebadoh lead singer...trained under J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr) is considered by many indie fans to be one the best song writers out there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Barlow I've met English majors who study his lyrics in University, seriously. The song/youtube video you posted is off an old album of theirs, which I like but it's less accessible than many of their newer stuff. Lou writes incredible introspective love songs, which is what I was referring to actually when I made that comparison. He also has a fantastic voice. This song is one example:
