i used fornylon effect but had to sing very loud so there may be some peaking or distortion coming through, the backing vox are by tim, not sure wot fx he used.

I have a philosophy about tweaking visual art as well as music: If part of your project is flawed (i.e. peaking, distortion) and can't be fixed (you can't un-distort a track you've already recorded), then make it even more flawed until it seems like you intended for it to be that way.

I think the contrast between the distorted lead vocal and the clean background vocal is awesome.  Add some guitar fuzz to that lead vocal and it would be perfect.
