Shoot - can't listen right now - but will tomorrow or Monday.....

Maybe I'll post my singing version of this Vi-King-size rocker  8)

Thanks G & T for working on this with me - CoooooooooL !!!   Maybe we should make this a BIG Viking sing-along-tune  ;D

One thing that I have realized is that Yngwie tunes down a 1/2 step - probably so his singers head's dont explode hitting the high notes.....  :o

OK....

my secret.....

I love tablature books and read them like the newspaper (or comic books)........

and then get into each of every little note and then practice for hours and hours and hours until it almost becomes MY song.....and then.....

well pretty much forget it for a while.....and then dig it out years later and record it.......fun stuff for me   ;)

Thanks T - i guess you talked me (posted me) into posting my singing version.....have to wait til Monday though.....

NOW YOU TELL US !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(

Quote from: Satchwood on September 19, 2009, 11:19:19 AMGreat job Mr Viking !!!  This song is authenticated now !!!  Authentic Norwegian Viking Singing - that is flippin cool !!!  I've got to tell Yngwie about this  8)

Cool fx on your voice G !! - !! how did you do that ?
I recorded 5 tracks of vocal. Two in the actual pitch and 3 an octave lower. I deleted the high vox from the chorus (except 1st half of first chorus) of obvious reasons (didn't want to use that nutcracker quite yet). The high vox recorded with mic on cheap PC headset, the rest with onboard. no fx on first (yet) and forNylon on the rest.

Due to too little time I mixed this in an old version of cooledit and added reverb there. High vox kept way back (the weren't that bad, but not being there all the way made it sound weird) the odd harmonies on the chorus is because I didn't take the time to rehearse each vox properly

Still amazed by your playing an especially that blistering solo !!!!

This is so flipping cool guys.  My head is going to explode just listening to this, that scream from the depths (heights?) just before the guitar solo is priceless.  Sounds like a lot of fun was had, a lot of beverages were drank, and a really cool sounding song was created in the process.  Is your throat still soar Geir, T??  I can't even imaging trying to sing something like this.  Great guitar playing Satch, note perfect, tone perfect.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places
