my secret.....

I love tablature books and read them like the newspaper........

and then get into each of every little note and then practice for hours and hours and hours until it almost becomes MY song.....and then.....

well pretty much forget it for a while.....and then dig it out years later and record it.......fun stuff for me   ;)

I love this Satch, I was hanging on every word, thinking I was going to get some magic trick that would let me play like this.  Your "secret" sounds like a lot of good old fashioned hard work to me.  Some secret,  its all about working very hard for what you want to play like.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Quote from: Bluesberry on September 20, 2009, 10:00:13 AMThis is so flipping cool guys.  My head is going to explode just listening to this, that scream from the depths (heights?) just before the guitar solo is priceless.  Sounds like a lot of fun was had, a lot of beverages were drank, and a really cool sounding song was created in the process.  Is your throat still soar Geir, T??
That would be mr T ! I chickened out on the chorus, singing only the lower vox ;D

Wow - mr G & mr T - YOU guys ROCK!!!  I dig these 2 versions - great job!!!

Mr T you really cranked down on the walnut cracker for sure - if I would have tuned down - maybe you could have lasted the whole song......

Well here's my humble version - just one track using fornylon - singing an octave lower than Jeff Scott Soto (I hear Yngwie use to give him a swift kick in the gonads just before each show  :o )

Ok, after being gone for a few days it took me 30 minutes to catch up to this thread alone!

Although it was all fun and entertaining, I'll have to say that all three of you did a fine job singing on this!

Tharek - I thought you were getting some pretty good high register!! I missed out on your soundclick post. Do you still have that?

Geir - True Viking tone - It's how it should be!! Your ancestors should be proud  :D

And Tommy D. Satchwood!! - I'm glad you posted your vocal version as well. It shows you know how to complete the full package if you want to!! Dynomiiiiite!!!

Peace,

Mark
