i can't read or write music so i guess i made this up.
i used a jim duncan 6 , a yamaha 12 , and a prs swamp ash secial.
no effect used on the 2 acustics and smoothld on the prs.
i find the patches on the BR better than my line 6 x3 live.
does anyone have the same opinion??
i don't use headphones i connect the BR to my 15 watt spider using
the cd in jack/headphones out

Wichita,

If you can't read or write then you sure can arrange. Very nice effort.

If you're talking about the preset patches sounding great, I find it interesting to see the many Micro reviews and MB chats that state that the effects are lousy. I think that the guitar you use is a huge variable and makes a vast difference in how good the effects sound. I'm not the typical example, but I had to start from scratch with effects since I  am mostly using an electro-acoustic hybrid with a piezo pickup. None of the presets work for me, but I know that's because most were written with magnetic pickups in mind.

I am very happy that I have been able to create some custom patches specifically for my guitar that really get the most out of the Micro. I find the COSM effects to be an exceptional set and was delighted to find them built into the Micro.

I think you'll find that investing in a decent set of headphones is a big help when mixing.

Hi Kevin,
i agree totally with you.the choice of guitar will make a diference.
i am very fortunate to own a Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special ,
Gibson Les Paul gold top. the smoothld patch works wonderful with
them, but when i use my Ibanez rg550 same settings the sound falls
flat.

nice work-
I agree about the patches-i choose the mbr over a zoom h4 for that reason
Different guitar/pickup combos will work better on some presets than others
btw-i notice a lately a few of us opting for the "smoothld"

btw also - I think SmoothLd is about the only preset patch that sounds good on my aging Kramer Ferrington with a piezo pickup. I think that it's so overdriven and compressed and the treble turned down enough that it can accommodate about any guitar.

And the PRS Swamp Ash is just an amazing guitar. Seems like it can do just about any electric genre flawlessly.

Maybe we could put a short backer up in Colaberations and compare the SmoothLd with our various guitars? It's my first choice lately too. Nice tune btw!

I was told that this was TJ's very first post with the Br  and his own composition as well!! How incredible the sound of the acoustics and swampy!! Outstanding job TJ
