I had to get my C-G-D fix in after the song challenge. It's a poor offering that didn't make two minutes, but I was thinking about shit and you know how that goes...

There are a kazillion different songs written in this pattern. Make this a kazillion an one!

Oh well ........

Ferryman_1957

Sounds like you've been listening to some TomH86 - this has that kind of simplicity. Enjoyable and didn't immediately sound like anything else, so sometimes simple works.

Cheers,

It,s not all about the chords or the simplicity, it,s about how it all feel,s and what is said. I feel this is just a really good starting point to a very good song.

I finally get to hear this!!! I noticed it but with the site acting funny I forgot about it.  Lovely stuff, this is the way real songs are written.  You could flesh this out some and it would sound killer, or you could leave it alone and it also sounds killer.  The main point here is that this is a great song on its own, so when you start with something great, you are more than half-way there, more like 90%.  If it were me I would add (get ready for it, can you guess?) a kicking guitar solo in the middle and outro, but that is how I hear most songs, I'm old school when it comes to guitar solos in songs.  It has the "spook" Mark which makes it a great song from the get-go.  You have your own style man, I like it!!!

Thanks for listening, guys. Just felt like doing something really simple and easy - Then I realized, it's never easy... :D

Dave, I probably will build on this. Got some extra lyrics and ideas for it. Was taking a break after trying to remix a certain particular song that I've had on my plate for way too long.  ;)
