BR not remembering tempo

Started by kalle, May 09, 2008, 02:35:49 AM

One thing I don't like is the fact that the BR does not "remember" the tempo of a recording when I'm just using a 1-bar pattern for a drum track. I'm no drummer, so usually just find a pattern, adjust tempo and play guitar.

Anyone know a way around this?

A bit late for this, but blues shuffles put 3 over 4, so blues patterns at a slow bpm can be used as 3/4-patterns.

Kalle,

The Micro is set up to remember tempo only in the Arrangement mode. You can easily make a rhythm arrangement with only one step and it's just like having the pattern mode play.

This one drove me nuts too, you are not alone  ;)

Thanks for replying

The instructions were helpful, and I realised that the tricky part begins at the point where it says, use the TR2 button to select AR, not PT.

If the screen above the TR2 button says [AR], it is easy to think - Ah, I'm in AR-mode. But no, when AR-mode is chosen that slot says ->PT, and AR shows up in the left corner. That's non-intuitive #1

Part 2 is moving the underscore from 01 to P to select an empty bank to store the pattern in. The rest is easy.

By the way - how many arrangements can each of the five available banks hold? SETUP001 etc.

....and all along I've been writing down the tempo and changing it every time! It sucks when I lose the note and the tempo is 98.6 BPM!!

This being the top question asked on these boards, would it make sense to make a sticky post describing the issue of saving tempos in a sing?
