How to Find/Name a Data Track i recorded then Convert to MP3 for Export to Computer or to post on any website i choose?

yes this is what i want to do i've followed instructions on pages 112-113 of the manual, however no-where do they say how to find the file you want to convert, #5 touches on it but talks about TR's and V's which i have no idea about,

i tried pre selecting the song so its stored in memory but that doesn't seem to bring up the song in #5,

i checked out the new video on posting and converting a track to this board via some mastering tricks, but again he did not touch on selecting the track to convert and post, somehow it was already ready to master,

so please offer some help or guidance of where to find the info

cheers

hi glen and thanks for reply and instructions, however

the name of any of my track are not there!

when i  get to the export the screen shows T's and V's which can change only numbers,
(have no idea what they are and what that means)

nowhere in that export is any of my named tracks, this is where i get stuck :'(

You can only export tracks from the selected song.

If you want to export tracks from another song first press:
 utility,  SNG,  SEL

and use + / - to select the correct song

then follow glenn's instruction

once you have exported the track to mp3, the file is saved under the MP3 folder. with the MBR plugged into your computer, open the MP3 folder from the computer and your song will be there.

ok thanks for replies, i think i'm getting closer to the solution,

the only issue remaining is on pg 112 about changing to your track of V 1---- and T1---

do i change any of this or just ignore it?

You must specify which of the Micro BR's 32 tracks you want to export. So it's essential to understand v-tracks. See my tutorial here:

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Tutorials/V-Tracks_and_Bouncing.html

Track Export (page 112) will only export a single track or a stereo pair. If you want to export the stereo mix of all 4 tracks, then you first have to save the mix to a pair of tracks. You can do that by bouncing (pages 50 and 51). Alternatively, you can use Mastering mode to bounce the 4-track mix and export it to an MP3 in a single procedure (pages 76 and 77).

when things get this complicated i'm sure i'm asking the wrong question the wrong
to do such a simple procedure,

to start over,

i had a backing track on the BR, i recorded over the backing track,

now

all i want to do is take what i've recorded and put on my computer as a MP3 file,

surely the creators of BR envisioned someone wanting to do this simple procedure :)

I assume you mean you imported an MP3 into a (new) song.
Then you played along and recorded it.
This means you then had 2 (V) tracks dedicated to the imported song. (Say you imported to T1V1 & T2V1)
Your recorded track would have to have been on a third track.. Say T3V1
To get all three into an MP3 for exporting, you would then Bounce all 3 to two other V tracks. Say T1V2 and T2V2
Then you can export those two to a stereo MP3.
It's only confusing for a short while.
The main thing is there are only 4 Channels (but unfortunately also called tracks) that can play at one time.
Then there are V tracks behind those, that are options or "takes" that you can choose from.
EG you can play T1V1 ( or v2 thru 8 ) and T2V1(or V2 thru 8 ) etc but not T1V1 AND T1V2
the key is with only 4 channels you need to bounce  to 2 other Vtracks and export them if you want to export stereo.

It may help to make a grid or spreadsheet of the 4 channels with 1 to 8 under them and then see that you can have any 4 channels playing during the recording process.
Then you need to Bounce a combination of any 4 Vtracks to two others in order to export those 2 to stereo.

T1  T2  T3  T4
V1  V1  V1  V1
V2  V2  V2  V2
V3  V3  V3  V3
V4  V4  V4  V4
ETC
Then bounce all 4 to
V5  V5
And export T1V5 and T2V5

Presumably, the backing track is stereo, so it's on two tracks (I'll assume TR1 and TR2). When you say that you "recorded over the backing track", I think you mean that you recorded some additional tracks (I'll assume TR3 and possibly TR4) while monitoring the backing track from TR1 and TR2. So now you have 3 or 4 separate tracks that you need to mix down to a stereo pair because an MP3 file is stereo (only 2 channels - not 4). You do that by using bounce mode or mastering mode as I said in my earlier message. See the link and page references from that message.
