Time Signature/Looping Questions

Hey, I'm trying to change the time signature on a drum arrangment.

Heres how I did everything ,  I copied the "Blues 1" arrangement from a Preset to a song so I can edit it, I click rhythm edit and go to step where it shows the tempo/time signature and so on.  Im interested in changing the time signature but when i go to move my cursor to it it skips it as if it's not an option?  If this right?  What am I doing wrong?

Also, I understand how the A-B Repeat works however I am not interested in playback looping, I'm tryin to have a 12 bar blues in Track 1 and solo over it in Track 2.  I understand I have to "Copy" it but I really have no idea where to begin.

If you could explain it or point me into a certain section of the manual that would be beyond great.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan

Time signature is a pattern parameter, not an arrangement parameter. When you scroll through the steps in your arrangement, the time signature of each pattern is displayed. This is for your information only - you can't change it. What you need to do instead is change the pattern to one that has the desired time signature. Unfortunately, the preset patterns in the BR-600 are all in 4/4 (except the metronome patterns). So, if you want to create an arrangement in a different time signature, you have to first create some custom patterns in the desired time signature, then include those patterns in your arrangement. See pages 144 through 152 of the BR-600 manual, 4th edition.

See pages 75 through 78. For what you want to do, I'd recommend copy by measure ("MES"). To use copy by measure, you have to first record your tracks to a drum arrangement or metronome so that the BR will know where each measure starts.

Thank you both for your information.  I can now loop in the BR 600 via Track Edit however i'm having trouble nailing the timing because it goes so fast.  Is there anywhere where I can find exactly where my guitar part comes in?  Is there a way to slow down the track?  Can i alter the copy after its already been copied to come in at 00:00:07-03.0 and i want it to come in at 00:00:07-0.4.0.  ( Just an Example).

Basically between the phrase i want to loop theres a split second gap of nothing.
Thanks,
Ryan

You're welcome (from both of us).   ;)

See Scrub/Preview on pages 73 and 74.

When you copy, you have to specify the destination ("To") measure or time. If you want the copy to start slightly later, just increase the "To" time accordingly.

A common mistake when using MES copying is to specify the end as the last beat of the last desired measure when, in fact, it should be the first beat of the next measure. For example, if you've recorded the first 12 bars of a 12-bar blues song and you want to repeat them by copying those twelve bars, you should specify the following parameters for your track copy:

S001-1
E013-1
T013-1

The mistake people often make is to specify the end as E012-4. But the end parameter is not inclusive, so E012-4 will only have the first three beats of measure 12, which will cause timing problems with the copies.
