Hy. New member here.

I'm interested on this little thing mostly for recording band rehersals and some guitar ideas.

The question is:
Can I record simultaniosly from the board to the Micro in one track and use the buil-in micro or a an external micro to record in another separate track?

Thanks.

Good question, I am pretty sure it isn't possible, though I could stand corrected. You would probably be better off either way just recording directly from "the board" (assuming you mean a mixer), and if you have open channels, just plug in some room/ambient mics to capture the live sound.

I am sure someone can confirm 100% if it's possible to use line in and MIC(onboard) input soon, though I am pretty doubtful it will allow it.  I was going to record some drums tonight and I will give it a try with my microBR out of curiousity (assuming I just press "line in" and "MIC" at the same time), uif no one gets back to you when I am done with that, I will let you know if I was able to get it to work.

From my experience: You can not record MIC and Line at the same time. You can record Line (Left ) and Line (Right) unto two different tracks (thus resulting in stereo) or trick it by using a "Y" cable with two inputs going to one or if your board is stereo you should be able to use pan to get instruments/microphones isolated. You can record GTR and MIC at the same time but thats it.

What ever the case, I believe the MicroBr can only record two tracks at one time. Since line input is stereo the addition of another input would result in more than 2 inputs and can not be done.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

I've done some more reading and found that it's not possible...
thanks anyway.

You can record the Guitar input and internal mike together, but not to separate tracks. I have plugged a mike into there with mike effects selected to have two mikes spread out in the room, worked ok.
