Well here is my submission for this challenge, only using C, F, Em, Am.  I needed to get at it and do it quickly if I was going to have any hope of doing anything at all, so I spent an hour before supper with my acoustic writing the song.  Came home after supper and ran through it a couple of times to learn it, then set up my microBR with the roland mini condenser mic and hit it in one go, playing guitar and singing at the same time.  I added the harmonica in a second stereo track, mastered and here it is.  This is probably the quickest song I have ever written, I call it "Without You".  I really had no time to do it any other way this weekend, this is what you get.

Sweet tune, Dave!! Really heartfelt and stage worthy. I'm working on my song challenge, but picking away at it because Mr. Time kicked me in the ass (And that it sucks). I can guarantee that yours will be the least warped of all of ours so far  :D

Great job - excellent on the fly tune!!

That is most definitely worth coming back to when you have more time to tart it up, though I do like the "raw" feel to it as is, one man and his guitar, and the cool harp to sweeten it. Nice.

Looks like those constraints are good!!!!!!!!

Oh well ........

Great idea for a challenge and this was an inventive way of solving the puzzle. I agree, very much Neil Young influence here.  (except if the voice was an octave higher  :D)
Nice job BB!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Thanks very much.  No Harmony-G here T, that is my raw, naked and unpracticed voice, recorded into the mini stereo condenser mic, with a bit of reverb.  Thanks for the compliment, it sounds pretty rough to me.  It was a blast to attempt to have a song written and recorded in such a short time, no time for second guessing, the first instinct was the keeper.  It is a different way for me to work for sure, on the fly and all.
