Can't Write That Song - new original

Just finished this one I did for my wife as a birthday gift. We've been married for...well, let's just say a long time and this was a mile marker birthday. 

Again, I apologize that this is a link instead of an mp3. Still haven't taken the time to learn how to do that yet.

The acoustic part was played on my Takamine F360 through the on board mics. I lowered the high EQ but it still sounds a little tinny to me. I didn't get Steve's suggestion about placing the mic close to the neck until after it was recorded.

The bass and electric guitar parts were played using the BR-600's patches and I used the drum machine kind of on the fly.

I thought this was perfect, Rick. Sounded great to me! The songwriting and playing was very professional sounding.

As far as posting the mp3, I like them because they can be downloaded to a player. The embedded You Tube vids are easy to play and I'm cool with that. Soundclick and other links are a pain.

Anyway, loved the song!!

The acoustic sounds good to me.  I like the country feel, very nice.  This is a deep sounding sound, kinda alt.country vibe.  I really like it.

I like the sound of your Acoustic guitar here Rickocaster. It is a little thin, but it sounds a hell of a lot better than mine.
