What sort of rechargable batteries should I get for the Micro Br.  I am spending a fortune on throw away batteries.

I like the energizer 15 min charger with alkaline batteries, but then again that's for the wii controller.

For the MicroBR I much prefer spending the $17 or so and get the correct power supply. I Keep alkalines in the Micro BR only as a backup, or if I want to do something on the road.

The most popular rechargeable batteries nowadays are NiMH (Nickel - Metal Hydride).  When shopping for them, be sure to check the mAh rating (milliamp hours) on the package. A higher number means it will hold its charge longer. Look for ratings of 2000 mAh or higher. Here are some examples, although not necessarily the best deals you'll find:

Of course, you'll need a charger too. These can be purchased separately, or bundled with the batteries (which is often cheaper).

As you know, the Micro BR only requires 2 AA batteries. However, I'd recommend buying 4 batteries so that you can charge two while you're using the other two.

Personally, I never have any luck with batteries. Even rechargeables don't last forever and eventually have to be replaced. So I prefer to use the Boss PSA series AC adapter to power my BR.

i got 4 ni=mh 2800mah of ebay for about £5.00 they last for hours the higher the mah the better. previously i had 800mah and i was lucky to get 40 mins from a pair.
the seller i bought from doesnt do them now but here is a list on ebay. best deal is 8 for £12.00

I use the Energizer NiMh batteries (I believe they are 2100 or 2800 mah, but will double check tonight) when I am recording on the road and also purchased an PSA-120 AC power supply for the house.

I usually put a pair of freshly charged batteries in the BR before I leave the house, and they last just fine recording a 3 - 4 hour jam session, using an external microphone.

Go with a set of four Duracell or Energizer rechargeables, but check them VERY CAREFULLY and often, for leakage.

All rechargeable batteries are "vented" for gassing when being charged, and the liquid seeps out over time, and it will ruin the BR or whatever device, by corroding the terminals in the battery compartment.

I've had REALLY good luck with my combination of PSA adaptor at home, and Energizer LITHIUM AA's for use where there is no power.

They are expensive and non-rechargeable, but after two months I'm still on my first setin the BR
In my digital camera they lasted the entire fall and winter.

I have been using these in various devices for over a year and have never saw one leak.

Im using Uniross rated at 2700MaH, and they work fine. Last quite a few hours, plenty long enough that I need a break anyway, and I have had them for ages. Use the same ones in all our digital cameras too.

I used a lot of batteries, I found VARTA proffesional 2700mAh NiMH best solution. They last and they dont uncharged even if you let them in microbr for months.
These batteries  bought for my photo camera, after I found that they last long I use them to MicroBR.
