how to make mp3 playback quieter?

My current setup is: guitar -> distortion -> delay -> microBR (cab sim only)
I'm playing over an MP3 but music is much louder than guitar. I can't increase input level or sensitivity because it start overdriving the input. Output volume affects both guitar and mp3. Is there a way to make mp3 quieter so I actually hear what I'm playing

Create a song and load the MP3 into it on track 1 and 2....

Adjust levels to your hearts content.
