The vox are not officially double tracked. I used the preset doubling effect (p11-mic) with the compressor levels set higher. The background vocals were recorded using the detuning effect (p12?). That setting makes a decent pseudo harmony sound for nice big bg vox.

Hmmm...so you have toys on the 600 that I dont have on the MBR then?

Nice song, and well played and sung too.

Bob Iles

Thanks. I need those toys to make me sound good. Otherwise, your ears would bleed. Or worse.

Now that's a great rock song, Bob! :) :)

The vox are excellant and the playing, sound, and balance of the guitars are right on the money.  Your handling of the BR600 effects and mixing are surpassed only by your guitar playing.  Really strong song writing skills are displayed here.  As always, the BR drums are reliabale and sufficient, but they don't actually live and breathe, do they.

Love it, keep 'em coming. :D :D

Yeahhhhh, thats a great song.  Great driving beat and rhythm guitars there.  I like it a lot.

I liked the first version, but how can I not like #2 even better? Sounds great. I didn't know there was a vocal doubletrack feature on the 600 - that's great. I have to doubletrack everything manually on my MBR. It's ok, but once in a while I could get lazy.. ;D Do they have a similar effect for guitar as well?

Brilliant post as usual!!

Hey thanks, guys!!

There is a doubling effect for guitars, Mark. I usually add a little to the guitar tracks to smooth them out. I use the ones on the Pan/EQ/Mod menu. Guitars are usually panned hard left/right, and then the doubling is tweaked until everything sounds nice and full.

I'm really stoked that you guys are digging my stuff. I'll have some more new stuff in  a week or so.
