Now that is just too cool.  Really smooth sounding, the re-master is great.  Thats a hell of a voice you have there Mike, its a gift for sure, you have to use it more.  In the right song, the right treatment it is dynamite, it roars and soars.

I love this song.

I absolutely worship Jimi and I reckon you did a kick ass rendition of a classic song. I also really dig the raspy voice you got.

killer job well done.

 ;D

Rolow

Reminds me a bit of Tom Waits.  And, of course, Hendrix.  This is a way cool sound. ;D

I think the vox are particularly good on this version Mike, you got a lot of feeling into them. You really should do more, you have an incerdible voice. All round a very enjoyable take on a classic, which is a hard thing to do as this is so well known.

Cheers,

Rickocaster

That's some butt-kicking bass playing, my friend. To me, that's what makes the song. Your voice is very cool, too. The lead sounds great, but I wonder how it would sound with the neck pickup or a more bluesy patch.

Great job of owning a great song while honoring the original. Enjoyed it a lot!

Dang, 48, this is a good one. This rendition of Watchtower is all killer. I had some major head bobbing going when listening to this one.
