Thought I would chuck this one up just to confuse everybody

Did it a while back, was not a project, just messing around singing along with the acoustic. Then thought "If I recorded this I could do the backing vox".

Came across it in my backups, did a bit of mastering, failed to get rid of that quiet reverby tinkling noise .... lol. But it don't sound too bad for someone who cant really sing

Yes!!! I love this song - Mama's & the Papas rule!! They whored off a lot of Beatles tunes, but also wrote some great stuff like this song.

This was a great cover - unique and sounded awesome to me!!

this is great steve, i watched a documentary on bbc4 recently about the mamas and papas so been listening to lots of their stuff recently.

STG - Hey, nowt wrong with this at all: Vocals, Production, The Lot; and I'm listening to it through lousy headphones, a crap computer and a one-sided ear infection. Further, I've actually paid good money to hear people play and sing this who I shouldn't have given the time of day, and here I am getting this very-decent redition for free!! Well done, STG, have no qualms about tackling anything else that may take your musical fancy - it's just a pity that there don't seem to be these type of songs written these days - or maybe I don't listen to enough stuff.
