A place to share your experience with musical gadgets !

Here's one of mine .... a cute little mechanical device :

A capo opens you up to a whole new world of chords........

Some Guitarists that I have met feel Ashamed to use them.....But sound shit trying to attempt the same tones..........

It is the ultimate accessory for the guitar....!!!!!!

For me this beats any gadget for the guitar!

Anything else is a bonus!

:) Once I was jamming with some punk/metalheads, and I was on my acoustic guitar (which to them seemed quite exotic).  I said, "I'm getting out the capo, fellas.  Just warning you."

"Nooooo! Please! Not the capo!"

It was like holding up a crucifix to a vampire.

I remember seeing a Vid of Simon & Garfunkel years ago, where PS had a capo on about the 6th fret, and making some astonishing sounds. As soon as I was able, I too tried a Capo several frets down, oh boy, a whole new world of possibilities. Anyone who doesn't want to stretch, progress, and experiment, shouldn't really be into playing music.  8)

Capo, picks of various weights/materials/shapes.  Someone mentioned the jewellfish-the other day I used the edge of a quarter, held perpendicular to the strings to get that 12 string sound.

Percussion (I will hold an egg-shaker while I play sometimes).

I get a ton of use/inspiration out of my various pedals-but the GT-8 takes the cake.  I dont think there is anything I CANT do with it.

Also sometimes I will pull out the bass, which Is just plain different!
To be pleased with one's limits is a wretched state.

Besides my capo I always bring my bottleneck (don't use it much tho)

I'm trying to get better at playing bass with my fingers, but felt picks have helped with my tone while I'm learning.

And of course my vocal mask allows me to sing in a muffled, throaty manner.
