Quote from: Ferryman on August 21, 2009, 05:38:12 AMFantastic! Great, great guitar work and smokin' vocals, your voice works well on this. Question - is this all you, or are there any backer elements? If you did the backing track as well then that's even more impressive.

Really enjoyed this one, it's a very good interpretation. Excellent!

Cheers,

Nigel

I added a rhythm guitar, lead and vox to a backer then added a few effects thro Adobe Audition...sorry I didn't mean to mislead anyone my apologies if I did :-[ :-[

Yes! The cooking is always better when it's made from scratch. This is so much better than one of those 'playing over a canned backer' deals.   ;)

Great job of planning and managing a pretty complex mix for an all M-BR project.  I loved the guitars and smiled out loud when I heard the very Hendrix-like chordal slide (or is that done with the whammy bar? or maybe the mic stand?) in the middle break. That sounds sooo good!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Don't worry Mike, you never implied you did do it all. I was just wondering and wanted to check one way or the other. But it's still great, and enjoyed hearing your vox again.

I knew it was a backer, and clearly Mike did not attempt to make us think otherwise. Maybe we should all make a point of saying if we have used a premade backer to avoid any possible confusion?

Yes. I think we should all say when we're using a backer, and say which parts are us and which are the backer. Not only does it avoid confusion, but I think the creator of the backing track deserves some credit for his work. It would also be helpful to include a link to the backing track in case others want to use it to make their own version of the song.
