Can you use the Trainer to slow down a whole song??

Hi I am new to this board been reading about the Micro BR just lately as it seems like the ultimate music tool. I am considering buying one when I sell may takamine (FD360sc) I am wanting to play metal now. I currently use a zoom PS-02 but mainly as a jotter/rhythm tool/metronome as the storage capacity is limited and the drum pattern editing is very fiddly, I am impressed with how you  do the patterns on the BR. A clincher on the whole deal would be if I can load in a metal mp3 and slow it down a bit to learn riffs or play along, I am learning hangar 18 by megadeth at the moment and can play some bits at a decent tempo while others I can play get disjointed when I put it all together, it would be cool to jam on it at a slower speed as well as play with the metronome which is what I do at the moment. BTW my name is not Dave it's Paul but I liked the joke Dave Sustaine which is a play on words of megadeths Dave Mustaine. Have a great weekend.....paul

Hello,

I believe so.  The BR can play back an MP3 and change the tempo without changing the pitch.  I haven't used this feature much, but it is a cool feature.  I had never recorded anything at all, but this little box is very cool. Loads of guitar effects, drums, tuner, mp3 player, built in MIC. Lots of bang for the buck. I use it mostly for recording jams and laying down tracks to play lead over.

I scored a brand new one on ebay for $150.00 ...
