I certainly would not class that as a failure Jim, there were several nice hooks in there, and it had good continuity as you returned to them. This is a really long track to impro to and keep things moving and interesting! As a "normal" length solo in say an indie song what you did here would have fit fine I think.
More you play with the scales the more ideas you will get. Going fine mate, keep at it :D

thanks for the support guys but i think i'll stick to singing and get back to my lessons with 48. off on holiday to nerja in spain tomorrow but hopefully still able to participate will take mbr with me as per usual but no instruments.
