Thanks Nigel - that makes sense. EQ or chorus does thicken the sound, but not in the way I want it to.

Oh, god, evyn - I'm sorry! I was talking about the process itself - nothing on you at all. If it came off that way, I fully apologize! I use the delay trick all the time - but I doubletrack a lot, too, which I like better.

Bottom line is the two have to have at least SOMEthing different or the ear says it's mono. I usually use a different effect on one.
