Which is of course cheating  I just record the sound effects from Freesound, YouTube or anywhere else direct to the MBR - I take the headphone out from the PC to the line in on the MBR and use the input wheel for fade in/fade out.

This method introduces some unnecessary digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversions. If you want to do it all on the BR instead of using Audacity, it would be better to save the Freesound samples on your PC and import them into a BR track using the BR Wave Converter. That way, the samples remain in digital form and you can use the BR's editing features to copy or move the samples where you want them. Fades can be accomplished by bouncing the samples to another v-track while adjusting the track level.

Is that a concept album you are making then? You Are Prolific!!!!!!!

No - I've done one concept album this year already, lol. But the concept behind the 'Emporium' idea was to have store with a weird and diverse range of goods on display. A strange, dusty and psychedelic kind of place full of mannequins, masks, and stuffed animals. Just a kind of eclectic collection of things really.

It's not finished yet. I'm writing some more songs, as this album doesn't yet have a 'big' one on it. I need another 'Cracks in the Glaze' or 'The Weight of your Life'. But these things don't just arrive... it takes a lot of work.

The cover is definitely done though (the shop front image will go on the inner artwork now). Freaky huh?!!!!!
