Loved all of it, the vocals, the groove, the guitaring.

Interesting it's your first attempt at mic'ing an amp. I've recently got myself a small valve amp that has actually stopped me playing through a modellor and studio monitors. And I've been wondering whether I can be bothered to try recording the amp instead - I think you might just have decided me!
