Thanks for the link, launched and great article by AndyR!
Got it bookmarked now.  ;)

Used to hang around therecordingwebsite forum (yikes!) it's been ten years ago. That was before Bob Dennis got involved but he already had the Recording Institute of Detroit up and running then.  Bob was a mastering engineer at Motown back in the day... so his recording tips are golden.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Tangled Wires

Cracking tune this one, and there is some killer bass lines going on in there as well as some great guitar riffage.

Thanks Mark. I hope it hasn't shaken the rivets out. That low B is lovely to have.

Cheers Ron.

It would be cool to try a 5 string - must be tough to deal with the neck at first...

I got a Schecter Hellraiser 5. Why they called it a Hellraiser I just don't know. It's a really refined guitar, lots of tonal variation, growly to deep lush and rich. The shops generally buy direct which means that they have a good margin. I got mine for £350. It was ticketed at £600.
Straight through neck, gun metal tail stock and tuners, lovely abalone/shell inlay, EMG HZ Pickups. nice nice fretboard and neck.
It's a bit heavy, after an hour of carrying it I'm glad to put it down.
It takes two 9V batteries, which caught me out. I only had one spare.

I do like it.
