Hey everyone, its beenawhile since I've been on. I got some problems with my fretting hand...well the arm actually. Its very painful to fret the strings. God made pain pills :) lol.

I wanted to drop in and share what I had been working on the last couple of days, when I could get my hand and arm to cooperate. I'm having surgery on my throat next week to take tonsils out, and take some other things out and get my nose fixe on the inside lol. I getting a nose job lol. I guess I have sleep apnea an dits pretty dangeraous so they have to get the crap out of my throat..

So I'm still working on this...I'm really frustrated cause I can't come up with lyrics. I have be "la la -ing" it out to try to get a sketch but I just can't get the words.

Anyone who wants to is welcome to go at this. Got me curiuos OHR lol

SO here it is and I want to do more before next weeks surgery :)

This has got a great feel. Lovely note and chord progressions that have just a touch of darkness before giving way to that epic, jangly chorus. Sounds like you're suffering at the moment medically, but musically you're firing on all cylinders.

I can hear orh singing on this... lol

Great work. And I hope it all goes well with the surgery. Hang on in there!

Smooth, G! Smooth!

Good luck with the surgery - In the end it will be much better than having a CPap machine strapped to your face every night!!

This has got a really good feel to it LESTG.

Sounds a little like a cross between Queensryche and Metallica. I don't know if that's what you are influenced by, but I could definelty hear Geof Tate's voice over top of this.

Do you have a basic lyric/idea/theme for this tune?
It ain't pretty being easy.

I love it!  I definitely get the Metalliza comparison.  But old Metallica (Ride the Lightning/Master of Puppets era, which to me is their best work).   Of course, they usually start off like this and then go into chunking thrash, which this song does not do.  Which is cool with me, as I have mellowed out in my old age anyway -- haha. :D  Oddly enough, I also hear a bit of Cure influence at times.  Weird combination, but it works.  I think the direction the vocals take (both in singing style and lyrics) could really influence this song one way or another.

Great work, LESTG! ;D

Thanks guys, I like the Metallica and Queensryche comparison. I wasn't really trying the main riff just came to me and I went from there. I'm just not good with words and a muse format. I guess I should figure out a theme or topic and zero in and make it fit.

I get all kinds of things that just pop up lol.

This is really nice.  Not a big fan of the huge chorused guitar, but it works really well here.  I would be interested to hear what this sounds like with a different approach on the drums (not that I dislike what you did).

Your progressions are nice, especially where it moves to what would be the chorus.

Great job.
