o-i thought you were referring to those cabinets they make that have just a power amp-i think they call them extension cabs-just a clean pure power amp to amplify a modeling type device or a sansamp processor
the tech 60 is like a sansamp with a power amp?

Well that's just it, I was interested in there Power Engine series but was wondering what they were sticking in the Trademark.  Turns out it's the SansAmp technology.

I was leaning toward the Power Engine with SansAmp pedals.  I think with the pedals you have more control to sculpt tone.

Besides having the SansAmp technology built in, the Trademark also has spring reverb.  So taking that into consideration it could be a better buy for the money.

i have one of the old original sansamp pedal- it has served me well although i sent it back to them twice for repairs but has been working fine for about 8 or 9 yrs now-it sounds good for bass as well as guitar-it's very flexible-this is the unit that has the little dip switches on it- I'm not sure if they even make anymore-
I've used it with a power amp and a Marshall cab before-mostly just direct tho for recording-it makes the wimpy pickups on my rick bass sound good
the trademark 60 seems like a good value
