This is excellent, the chorus works really well, great descending sequence, clever change in the drums and nice little vox echo. All very good touches that make it really hooky. You've created a really punchy sound on this one, I really like that bass sound. Great job.

Cheers,

Nigel

PS Been listening again, this is the equal of any commercially produced rocker I have heard in recent years. Seriously good.

Wow!  Thanks a ton.  I really don't know what else to say!

Wow Bob. Great tune. The riff is reminiscent of Judas Priest. Some really excellent guitar work here!

I really like the delay effect on the "Go" and "Stay" parts. How did you do that? Can you apply delay to just a portion of a vocal track?

Anyways, I think this tune is really good man. Reminds me of my bar band days.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Bob,

Very well produced... please share your secret on the vocal sound. I'm hearing chorus, delay maybe. What type of mic did you use etc. This is a very well crafted sound. Thanks for sharing. BTW bitching guitars dude... you got it goin on.

Guys, I really don't know what to say. "Thanks" just doesn't seem to capture the true feeling.

All the effects on the vox are onboard BR effects. The main vox track uses P11 (mic preset, doubling loop effect) which I believe I have slightly edited.  As for the "go" and "Stay" delay/echo parts, I recorded those as a backup vox track using another preset vox setting.  I'll have to get the machine out and write down all the settings for you guys.

I'm in the process now of revisiting all of my other recordings and remixing and recording where necessary to establish a consistent sound throughout the tracks. I've begun posting at soundclick and I'm seriously considering offering the tracks for download there, and possible licensing. I'd like to give a go to trying to making some money off of this. Stay tuned for updates regarding that.  The link if you're interested is:  http://www.soundclick.com/bobiles  Help me get this one on the charts!!

Again thanks from the heart.

To the best of my recollection, I used vocal fx2 (MIC>P07) on the background vox, slightly modified to enhance the delay effect.  I have no idea what the settings and all were - I'll have to start keeping notes.

Really enjoyed listening to this. Very catchy rhythm. Something about the way deliver the vocals is very original and catchy too. I immediately wanted to listen to it again.  Good work.

Thanks.

I have a video up at YouTube, as well, for one of my other songs.
