Greeny, I would say this is one of your stronger efforts...maybe because it is so stripped down.  Really enjoyed this.  You manage to find a nice balance with the strings to completely avoid the cheese factor.

Would you be willing to post the lyrics?

I just don't know how you do it time and again.  I like the unplugged version of this. Excelent.

Yep - it's the Tanglewood all-solid mahogany. It really is a lovely guitar, and doesn't need any effects to sound good.

Lyrics...

Do I need a meteoric rise
to be a star in your eyes?
i'll sing these songs 'till my hair and teeth are gone

i've given up on fame
i'll never be a household name
but i'm ok, stealing kisses in the rain

love me in obscurity
i hope my love is gold-plated enough
for you

for some the penny never drops
they think they'll go right to the top
but i'll stay here
just a whisper in your ear

love me in obscurity
i hope my love is gold-plated enough
for you

Thanks guys!

Hey Tim and all - I've done an autoharp overdub and exported to mp3, but I'm not seeing how to attach it here?

I know I could link to it (if I had a site to host from  ;) ), but there's a way to attach it, right? Additional options are how you do it on new posts, but how to do it on the reply?  :(

Thanks Cuthbert! Some nice little harp-like strums there. Really appreciate you doing this! Thanks!!!!!!

Beautiful, as per usual, Tim.  I absolutely love the chorus.  Nice chord progression and awesome melody sung over it.  The stripped-down sound is excellent -- just perfect for a live gig.  I also dig the strings -- what do you use to play your strings?  What type of keyboard and what tone, effects, etc.

Another brilliant masterpiece!!!  They just pour out of you, don't they? :) :D ;D

You're very welcome Tim - it was a pleasure to play along to, even as I was kicking on the autoharp!  ;)  I'm not worthy!  :D

Seriously, it really is a wonderful song with great hooks, and I love the minimalist arrangement you have given it. I was wondering the same as Bosko what you used for the strings?
