This is my take on Hardlock's Blues. 1am noodling---couldn't sleep.
Just seen PJ's , didn't know she was doing one 'till this evening!!
Started with Mike the very end of May, couldn't play for shi, toffee, before that.
Unlike PJ, can't get to grips with the phrasing bit very well yet, so I suppose I'm still babbling ;D.
Honest opinions guys???
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!

2 months ... and he's moaning  :-\

Steve, that is better than your Summertime solo, and you did that what, a week ago? Coming on just fine mate.

Great stuff.  Your timing is great, your big bends are great, your tone is just dynamite, great slides down the strings, seriously good stuff.  Damn you folks are getting really good here.  This is good stuff StevieM.  All you have left to figure out is to not pick every note but use hammer-ons and pull-offs as well as picking, that will give you all the expression you need for super blues soloing.  Great job.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Oh Stevie M you are my partner in crime.  Look out 48 . It will be coming your way agian. LOL LOL well Steve , Hardlock wanted different takes on this I think he is getting them now.  Great Job!!  I don't know, I think your summertime solo was awesome.  You have nothing to worry about.!!  Maybe we expect to much as beginners.  And you are definitly not going ga ga ga ga . LOL You are bouncing your red rubber ball on down the road.  "You know what I mean" LOL I am proud of you and it keeps giving me something to strive for.  It is fun to get to hear each other once in a while.
Until tomorrow.

Honest opinion - pretty bloody good! It's a great sound you have used here that really fits the feel of the blues well, and I love the pinch harmonics you are starting to get, especially the one at 15 seconds. Some of your runs aren't yet completely smooth, but that will come. I think Bluesberry has it - using hammer ons and pull offs more rather than phrasing every note may give you that.

Overall, this sounds really good and it shows your "feel" is really developing - some very nice up and down bends, and some great slides.

Well done!

Nigel
