I was gonna post this awhile ago but the file was too big. Greeny heard it over at my SC site and encoraged me to post it here...viciously squashed from .wav to 96 ouch! It's a song about my lifelong battle with finding moderation. Guess i have been somewhat successful as i am not dead yet but that tempation to always take it a little farther is still there. Of course, noone on this site has ever had THOSE issues!  ;) ;) ;)

I LOVE IT Pd, one of the best songs posted this week, hell, this month.  Sweet. It all works very very well, all of your strengths come together here in this perfect song.  I love acoustic blues, and this is a very good example of good acoustic blues.

I like the song - fantastic. That harmonica is freakin' sweet - my favorite. Really good job with that!

What were you using for that acoustic sounding solo? Before "It might be a woman?" And then it comes in later for the win - Yes!!

You'll have to excuse me for doing this, but:

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

I love this tune!!

Thanks T...a "blues convert?  :o  geez maybe Flash Harry will be next  :D..and BB  that is really high praise in light of what has been posted this month...including your new one!  Not trying to rain on my parade here but it IS just a 1-4-5 -done a million times blues song. Musically, the foundations were laid long before even I was born  ;) My main goal here was to get a "live in the studio" sound and as usual, tell a story. The great harp playing makes the tune for me...that's compliments of my old bandmate Pinecat James. We've jammed together in and out of bands since the late 70's.
Thanks for that Sweeeeeeeeeeeet Mark...lmao...

I did cheat though..thought the song was just a tad too thin..and added an electric bassline with my cheapo Ibanez GSR 200 although i could have done it with the acoustic and a bass patch. Helped it alot though i thought.
Guitar was my Taylor 314ce..the leads were done on my Rogue spider resonator/dobro
Used my MXL 990 condenser thru an ART tube preamp for all the instruments and a Shure SM58 for my vox..and of course, metronome function to keep me honest thru that long haul...

Thanks again all of ya..

I love acoustic blues stuff. Unfortunately I am crap at it tho. Luckily you aren't, so I can listen to this instead :)

Nice song too, tho I don't understand about the "issues" in question ???

Pine

Thanks Steve..appreciate you listening to such a long blues tune.

I'm sure you could do an acoustic blues. Just can't hurry them. You have the talent and a BR...all that is needed. Well...free time helps too... :D

Not sure if you are playing me with the "issues" question. Lets just say that many musicians, throughout history, have been prone to altering their reality just a wee bit too often and too much..and even tho it feels good...it Ain't Always a Good Thang.. 8)
