Hi there, I just got Boss Adaptor PSA-230P, 9V 200mA
but it don't work when I plug in BR .  I wonder if my BR or the adaptor problem or PSA-230P is not compatible .

If your country's electrical system is 230 volts AC, then you have the correct adapter. If you have any 9-volt guitar effects pedals, such as a distortion pedal, chorus, delay, etc., you could test the adapter with the pedal.

Is your BR new or used? If it's new, take it back where you bought it and get them to diagnose the problem. If you bought it used, it's possible that the previous owner connected the wrong power adapter to it and damaged the BR. If so, you could phone Roland tech support and ask about getting it repaired. Or, you could just continue using it with batteries.

I bought BR about 7 months ago (a new one), the past days I use battery. And now it works well on battery also , I just buy PSA-230A recently , my country electrical system is 230v . And the PSA-230A is a new one too.

I don't have boss pedal. But a Digitech peadal , Ibanze DS-7 .
I'll try to test the adaptor.

BTW, there's a model PSA-230 not 230P,
are there any difference or they're the same one ?

I just tested the adaptor on Ibanez DS-7 and it works.
If the Micro BR has 2 power channel ? (Once I try other 9v 250mA adaptor to BR, and it works about 25 minutes, and it power off , then I not use the adaptor any more.) Use battery for power supply , and nothing seems wrong.  If my BR's adaptor power channel malfunction?

Was that adapter regulated? The Micro BR requires a regulated power adapter. If it was not regulated, it's possible that it damaged the Micro BR's power circuits.

You might want to read this message thread on power adapters:

In it, Alistair Clark of Roland UK says that many Micro BR users have damaged their BRs by using the wrong power adapter. I get the impression that the Micro BR is more sensitive about its power requirements than the other BR series recorders.

I'm happy with using rechargables, £15 for the charger and 4 AA's, two always charging, and no wire to the mains to get tangled up.
