As for your thoughts on re-mixing: i don't have time to go back through this whole thread but i strongly doubt that i ever recommended or even suggested remixing. I may have stated that i thought the vox were too low for my comfort level, but believe me Bosko, i am THE LAST person to ever want to go back and remix.

Didn't mean to imply that you suggested a re-mix.  That said, if you say that the vox are too low, there's no other way to get them higher than to re-mix -- at least not that I know of!  Unless you know of a secret that magically fixes levels without re-mixing.  If you do, please tell us all!

Bosko- does the 1600 have a limiter in the mastering section? it may help

i prefer to not squash stuff too much tho- but a good mastering limter can help

Indeed it does, Ron, and I do use it to some extent, but like you, I don't like to squash everything too much!

Hi Bosko...i didn't say the vox were too low...i said they were too low for my comfort level. I think your mix is contemporary...probably as it should be if you're thinking of selling anything on iTunes. Ipods are scarce here at the nursing home.

It doesn't matter what anybody thinks Bosko. Nobody will remember any of us in 200 years....and that's being very optomistic. Do it. Enjoy it. Your music is what it is and
you don't need to explain anything to anybody....
