Just perfect. I'm going to dare say it too-----better than the original!!!
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!

Very nice!  As it first started, I thought: Oooops, too slow.  But nope, it doesn't drag... it comes across very smooth.  The clarity and tone of the guitars and vocals is pleasing. And of course the built-in English accent helps a lot too. lol    Fine job!

These days I just dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

You are Amazing!

I remember your first Avatar pic.........

I used to think, "I bet he is really a published artist, hiding who he is with the big glasses...."

I think that more than ever now....

Peace Bro

FMK - 1st, thanks for the comments over on Waterpark. 2nd, if anyone tells you that you can't sing, either ignore them completely (The right thing to do), or punch them on the nose with the blessings of everyone on this site (It's soooo wrong, but would feel oh so good!!).

I have The Beatles Complete Guitar Edition songbook (bequeathed to me by my late brother). Some years ago I took one look at Across the Universe and didn't bother, much too hard to even contemplate. Also bequeathed was an album Beatles Rarities, on which is a very stripped-down version of A.T.U.
For years I resisted the lure of the Lennon legend, but then I read Cynthia's book and also bought and really listened to Plastic Ono Band & Imagine, and I finally 'Got' it. The Man was quite simply an Artist to His core.

The version you have provided here is so flawless, that if Paul McCartney had have had the choice to use this on Let It Be - Naked, he would have used it. It is that good. You have produced a masterpiece, very well done indeed. :)

Man you got it all!  The sound, the feel, the emotion, the atmosphere, gentle intensity,.....

Really great guitar work, vox, and mixing.  Great job! ;D

This is one of my fave Beatles songs of all time, just love the chord sequence. Like Hooper, I thought you might have taken it a bit slow but it really works - you can savour the words more. The guitars sound great, really dreamy and you vox and harmonies are spot on. Great stuff, really, really like this one. Another great vocal performance from you btw.

This is also my favourite misheard lyric - as a kid listening to Radio 1 on crappy radios I was convinced the chorus started "Jackaroo, there you are", which I always thought was an odd lyric!

Cheers,

Nigel
