Phantom tracks heard

Hi, just started about 4 days ago, and being a techie, I have no problem with the interface.

Anyway, two quick questions.,

1. Is there any way to mute recorded tracks quickly without having to go to the volume screen and scrolling down to 0 for each one?

2. when playing back a voice track that I recorded  with the onboard mike while listening to the other tracks on headphones it seems to have picked up the rhytm, guitar very faintly.

The headphones are clamshell type so I doubt that you could hear the tracks enough for the mic to pick up. Is it the BR itself that's picking up the faint tracks or do you think it is the headphones "leaking" the sound.

Thanks for all your help so far.

One thing that I do is to pull up an empty V track on the tracks I don't want to hear.

Example, if I have data on Trk's 1 & 2 - V1 and want to record Trk 3V1, I'll pull up an empty V Trk on 1 & 2 until I need them.

I've found this to be quicker than turning the Trk volumes up and down.

I am not sure what's happening in your 2nd question.

Hope this helps.

I reckon its leakage from the headphones, I get it a lot as I playback at quite high volume and that mike is quite sensitive.

Yep that sounds a lot quicker than playing with the volume itself.

As for the 2nd question, it was only the first night, so It might have been picking it up from the headphoes, etc. I plan to play around and make  sure the headphones are not too loud when I record the vocal track.

Thanks!
