Awesome playing and tone - not bad for a 'plank of wood', lol. Welcome to the Telecaster club: may it be a long a fruitful membership!

You're getting the right 'bite' from the notes already.

Great stuff.

Yes sir that is one Plank of wood for sure, what they say about the Tele, it is the non-descript, simplest of guitars, and because of that the personality of the player shines through more than any other guitar.  I thank everybody for the nice comments.
Davo:For amp modeling I used Comp Lead setting on the microBR and played around with the PUs and volume/tone knob while playing to see what tones I could get, so yes there was compression for sure, and a model of a Fender amp.
SteveB: I feel like I have wasted a lot of time not playing the guitar until 3 years ago for sure, but I don't really think about that too much, I just want to play now, everyday, all day, not enough hours in the day to play guitar, write songs, come on here and hear everybodies music, play some more guitar...thats all I really want to do now, so I am glad to have finally realized my passion I guess.  The way I look at it, it's never too late for anybody to start something that they really want to do and make it good, it just takes a lot of time, I have the rest of my life, so I have time.
Migs: Great idea for a song, "the ballad of how I spent my tax money on a shiny plank of wood that sings like a bird"
Thanks everybody for the encouragement to spend money, it was worth every penny, and when I plugged er in and heard that Tele tone, and I understood what all the fuss was about, priceless.

Your right Sprocket, I was pumped for sure, I had to take the day off work today so I can play some more.  I couldn't stand the thought of going off to work and not playing for hours and hours  ;D

It's all been said already. That sure is one hell of an advert for Tele's 8)

Nice one.

There's something quite magical about the tele. It's not to everyone's taste, but when the bug gets you...

I've owned one for years, but I finally figured out what teles could do for me just over a year ago when I bought a Baja. I've now got three working teles in the stable - you gotta watch out, they're addictive :D. Every single one of them is "different" - they're all teles, but they all do slightly different jobs. I love them :)

Thanks Stevie, AndyR.  What a guitar a Tele is, I had no idea, it is the tone I love and have been looking for for a while.  Every amp I plugged into here at home (Fender Blues JR, Epi Valve JR, Fender G-dec30) sounded great, the best I have heard those amps sounding really.  Man o man, the perfect guitar is a Tele, who knew?  I am blown away by this thing.
