Well, posting the Void tune didn't go over so well (64 views & 6 replies at last check -- talk about Maximum Shit Ratio), and I also noticed that despite having finished my album, I haven't even posted a third of the music from it.  So I will now go back to what I am more comfortable with posting: a "standard" Bosko tune which is lyrically the cornerstone of the album with regard to the alien abduction theme/concept.  It is separated into 3 parts, lyrically and musically, plus 1 outro.  The chronological order of the 3 different lyrical parts are in reverse of how they actually happen in the story, hence the "III, II & I."  Thus, the first words you hear are actually part 3, chronologically, and the last segment of lyrics is actually part 1.  There's that ridiculous prog influence coming back to haunt me.

Hope you enjoy this one more than you did "Patience!"

Prog indeed, Genesis spring to mind but heard all sorts in there. Enjoyed it.

Thanks, SteveG!  And let me clarify that when I say "prog influence," in no way am I referring to my musicianship, but rather the ridiculous subject matter and non-traditional song structure.  I always want to make that distinction so that no one gets any misconceptions that I feel I am a prog-worthy musician! ;D

Thanks, Mike!  That is a compliment of the highest order, and I appreciate it! ;D

Now you know how us mortals feel!! :D :D Just kidding - The view counting system here is flawed with logged in users and owners of a post - the same person could be opening the post repeatedly and it would still be counted. If you check your comments, it counts as a read. If someone goes back to have another listen or download, it counts as a read. If you provide a link to a non member that would never post here anyway, but just wants to download a cool song, that counts as a read(I do this sometimes).

Not to mention the rapid speed of the MBR section - wow!! A really great song can be relegated to page 2 in minutes sometimes! I've seen a post with 0 replies almost make it to page 3 before. Imagine how that person felt. It was a good song, too.

Well, anyway, I digress.

First of all, you get the american version of FMGWABP with this awesome number: Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

I love the big air, locked in bass/drums in the "Third" part. As Mike(FH) would say: "Fucking Ace". There is awesome, melodic bass flow everywhere else at that. And part "Two", you know that was good, too, so I won't even comment. Fantastic harmonies - Really good!!!

The crackling LP sound with piano was clever and well placed at the end. It instills strange emotions that are comparable to the lingering smoky sweetness of a quality single malt. And the desire for just one more sample...

This is one of my favorites so far!! Excellent work.

Right... I have a f*cking shitload of praise and fan-boy grovelling, lol. So many incredible things going on, but overall, it's the sheer ambition, scope and execution of this song that blows me away. I thought I was being daring with my Greeny's Emporium song, but that doesn't come close to the smooth and beautiful transitions you have here. I so get those wonderful chord changes you like to drop in here and there... those sudden transitions between major and minor that I look for in every song I write, but that you seem to pull off so easily. The staccato guitar is perfect, and that bass is absolutely magnificent - a real Macca-style melodic flow. And what a fade out... gentle, scratchy beauty that leaves you reflecting on the rest of the song. The dreamy vocals work so well too. It's a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned!

Really nicely constructed.  The first thing that strikes me is the almost reggae-quality of the start/stop bass line.  It interacts with the drums on a great level.  I'm also a sucker for the vocals in this song.  Your verse vocals float over the music.  Nice bass in the chorus, by the way.

Nice lead-out after the bridge (with the phase-shifted patch that gives way to piano).

You have a lead vocal signature sound as well.  I'm curious as to what your treatment is, reverb alone?  Reverb with slight slapback, or is that electronic doubling/splitting?

Another excellent post.

Bloody excellent. I missed the 'void' too, maybe you should re-post it? Be interesting to hear all 3 parts----it might make sense of your explanation then, or is it just me being dumb??? ;D Same as I could never get the Star Wars episode numbering :-[
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!
